What Happened Today?

Monday Set-Ups:

Every Monday, Tom and Erin look at which charts are shaping up as "ones to watch" for the week, but to start, they reviewed last week's Monday Set-Ups "picks", CDR for Erin and LVS for Tom. CDR was up about 1% this week and Tom landed about a 3% gain on LVS. Today's Set-Up picks were HALO for Erin at $18.10 and PNC for Tom at $132.42. For more of Tom's Monday Set-Ups, you can visit his Trading Places ChartList.

Agree or Disagree? ...that is the question. Tom and Erin discussed the Transports today. The statement was "Do you agree $TRAN will close higher than it is by the end of the year?" Erin disagreed with this statement. Here supporting charts are below, but the big one is the weekly chart which has declining PMO tops and bottoms and a new negative PMO crossover SELL signal. Tom sees transports as picking up at the end of the year based on his chart below and the seasonality of $TRAN which is below the chart.

Ten in Ten Before One: In this regular segment, Tom reviews ten charts in ten minutes with Erin's comments and comments from the Twitter "peanut gallery" peppered in there. Send in your symbol requests via Twitter (@mktwatcherslive) before the show and we'll try and add them. Symbols reviewed today: ALEX, ASIX, MTZ, RRX.TO, CAT, XOP, ECA, XBI, FDC, and AMD.  You'll find all of the charts in the MarketWatchers LIVE ChartList, located at the top of the MarketWatchers blog homepage.

DecisionPoint Report: On Monday Erin analyzes DP indicators to give us a heads up on the market conditions as we start the week. She also reviewed the "big four": Dollar, Oil, Gold & Bonds. For a complete view, go to the DecisionPoint Weekly Wrap by Carl Swenlin to get the latest scoop on market action the prior week and find out what the indicators are suggesting for the future. Erin's indicators show weakness in the short and intermediate terms, but so far declines in these indicators has only resulted in sideways consolidation or slight decline. She and Carl talked over the weekend and both suspect the market in general will do well through the end of the year, but January could be the hangover. Charts and more analysis are available in the DecisionPoint blog.

It's a Wrap! In closing Tom and Erin let everyone know the upcoming schedule for the week. Tomorrow expect more announcements from StockCharts as Grayson Roze joins the program.

Looking Forward:

Tuesday (11/14) - Grayson Roze will make some announcements.

Thursday (11/16) - Greg Schnell will join us to talk P&F
