Brian Livingston is a successful dot-com entrepreneur, an award-winning business and financial journalist, and the author of Muscular Portfolios: The Investing Revolution for Superior Returns with Lower Risk. He has more than two decades of experience and is now turning his attention directly on the investment industry. Based in Seattle, Livingston is now the CEO of MuscularPortfolios.com, the first website to reveal Wall Street's secret buy-and-sell signals, absolutely free.

He first learned computer programming on an IBM 360 in 1968 at age 15. He began trading his own brokerage accounts in 1986. He's survived to trade on despite the Black Monday crash of 1987, the dot-com collapse of 2000–2002, and the global financial crisis of 2007–2009 — and looks with serenity at whatever crashes are certain to come in the future.

From 1984 through 1991, he was the assistant information technology manager of UBS Securities in New York City, a computer consultant for Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. (now JPMorgan Chase), and technology adviser to Lazard Freres. As a consumer advocate exposing the dark side of high tech, he wrote more than 1,000 articles from 1991 through 2010 for such publications as PC World, CNET, InfoWorld, PC Mag, and eWeek.

He founded the Windows Secrets Newsletter, which grew to 400,000 subscribers, and co-authored 11 books in the Windows Secrets series (John Wiley & Sons), which sold 2.5 million copies. The 6th Annual Internet Content Summit in New York City named him Entrepreneur of the Year for his creation of a profitable "pay what you wish" model to deliver technology information to consumers. He is a recipient of the Award for Technical Excellence from the National Microcomputer Managers Association. Livingston is president of the Seattle regional chapter of the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII).
