StockCharts.com Acquires MurphyMorris, Inc.
REDMOND, Wash., Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- StockCharts.com, Inc., the leading
provider of on-line financial analysis tools and charts, today announced it
has completed its acquisition of MurphyMorris, Inc. Texas-based MurphyMorris
is the on-line home of leading financial analysts John J. Murphy and
Gregory L. Morris which has provided high quality market analysis to on-line
investors since 1996 via its web site, http://www.murphymorris.com .
StockCharts.com has provided high quality analysis tools to on-line investors
since 1999 via its web site, http://www.stockcharts.com .
The acquisition accomplishes three key objectives for StockCharts.com.
First, it brings John Murphy's extensive knowledge of the financial markets
into the company as its new Chief Technical Analyst. Second, the addition of
Greg Morris' business and marketing skills will help drive the adoption of
StockCharts' award-winning SharpCharts products by other businesses. Third,
it adds a growing subscription-based revenue stream in the form of
John Murphy's Market Message Service.
