ChartPacks are pre-created ChartLists that you can easily install into your account with just a couple of clicks. ChartPacks can contain a single list of general purpose charts or they can contain many ChartLists with a wide variety of charts. It all depends on the purpose of the ChartPack and how it was designed.
For example, the “Market in a Nutshell” ChartPack is a free ChartPack with 160 general purpose charts stored inside 4 ChartLists. Its goal is to help new members get started quickly with their accounts.
On the other hand, Gatis Roze's “Tensile Trading” ChartPack is a subscription-based ChartPack with over 1000 different charts organized into over 90 different ChartLists.
We have several different kinds of ChartPacks available to Extra and Pro members including:
With the exception of Subscription ChartPacks, once you have installed a ChartPack, you can uninstall and/or reinstall it at any time in the future. Subscription ChartPacks cannot be reinstalled after the subscription expires.
You can install any of our free ChartPacks by going to the Your Account page and scrolling down to the 'ChartPacks' area where you will find a summary list of all of the ChartPacks you currently have installed.
Click on the 'Manage ChartPacks' link on the right side of the page to see a detailed table of all the ChartPacks that are available for you to install and use. This table includes all of our Free ChartPacks as well as any ChartPacks you may have purchased.
As shown above, ChartPacks that you have not previously installed will have an “Install” button next to their names. ChartPacks that you have previously installed will have “Remove” and “Re-install” buttons next to their names.
Each of the free ChartPacks listed in that table also has a “More Info” button that will show you a more detailed description of the corresponding ChartPack.
To install any of our Free ChartPacks, click the corresponding “Install” button on the “ChartPacks” page.
Note: ChartPacks can only be installed into your unused ChartLists and/or ChartStyle slots. If you have already created the maximum number of ChartLists/ChartStyles, you will need to delete some in order to allow the ChartPack to be installed. The green bar at the top of the page shows how many more ChartLists and ChartStyles you have room to install.
Paid ChartPacks can only be purchased from the ChartPacks area of the StockCharts.com Store.
Once you have completed the purchase of the ChartPack using our online Store, you will need to wait until we validate your order. That process may take several hours depending on the time your order is placed. Once the order has been validated, we will add your ChartPack to your account and you will receive an email acknowledging the installation. It will then appear in your list of installed ChartPacks on the “Your Account” page. It will also appear on the “ChartPacks” page, along with any free ChartPacks.
Subscription ChartPacks are also purchased from the StockCharts Store and are also installed by us after we validate your order. Periodically, during the ChartPack's subscription period, updated content will be made available via the “Re-Install” button. After the ChartPack subscription expires, you have the option of extending your subscription or simply keeping the most recently downloaded version of the charts.
The expiration date for a Subscription ChartPack is shown in the ChartPacks table.
Unlike other ChartPacks, once a Subscription ChartPack expires, it cannot be reinstalled.
Once a ChartPack has been installed, you will see one or more new ChartLists in the “Your ChartLists” area of the “Members” page. You can choose any of the corresponding “View” options from the dropdown menus in that table (e.g., “10 Per Page”) to view the contents of those new ChartLists.
Note: Typically, the ChartLists in a ChartPack all begin with a common letter code so that those lists appear together in the “Your ChartLists” area of Your Dashboard.
Note: When a ChartPack is installed into your account, the contents of the ChartPack are simply copied into your account. There is nothing special about those items once they are copied into your account. You can change them, delete them, rearrange them, etc. just like you would any other item. If you change the items in a ChartPack and later decide that you want the original versions back, you can use the “Re-Install” button for that ChartPack to re-copy the ChartPack's items into your account.
You can remove any previously installed ChartPacks from your account by going back to the “ChartPacks” page and clicking the “Remove” button located next to the ChartPack in question.
