Why should I buy a StockCharts.com membership?
By becoming a member, you have the ability to access the full power of StockCharts.com. Create intraday charts, read the latest market commentary in the Market Message, run your own stock scans, create annotated charts, store charts in a portfolio, customize your chart settings, and much more.
How much do StockCharts memberships cost?
Our Extra! service costs US$24.95 per month. Our Basic service costs $14.95 per month. Subscriptions to the Market Message are $21.95 per month. Discounts are available for longer-term memberships. Do you have a Free Trial offer?
No. However, new one-month members can request a full refund within seven days of joining.
Can I get access to Real-Time charts if I subscribe?
Yes. Extra members can access real-time (non-delayed) charts for an additional $9.95 per month. Basic members must upgrade to Extra in order to add the real-time option. Real-time subscriptions are non-refundable. Please note that our Real Time charts are not streaming charts, you update them by clicking your browser's Refresh button.
How can I pay for my membership?
You can pay for your membership directly via our secure web form using either Visa, MasterCard, or American Express.
Can my membership be automatically renewed?
Yes. If you choose so, your membership will automatically renew on a month-to-month basis when it expires.
Can I "upgrade" my membership to a more expensive level of service?
Yes. You can upgrade your membership at any time using a link on the "Members" page. You'll need to pay an additional fee to "convert" the remainder of your current subscription period into the higher-cost service. If you are converting your Basic membership to Extra!, your stored charts and settings will be automatically converted for you.
Can I "downgrade" my membership to less expensive service level?
Yes, but… Because we cannot provide refunds, you can only "downgrade" your membership during the final week of service. We'll send you an email reminder when that period begins. A message also will appear on your Members page. Also keep in mind that Extra! members who downgrade to Basic will lose all of their stored charts, scans, and settings.
What kind of membership do you recommend to someone who is new to your site?
We recommend starting with our one-month Basic membership. There are three advantages to that approach: 1.) It is our lowest-cost option (US$14.95). 2.) If you cancel within 7-days, we'll refund your money. 3.) You can upgrade to a higher level of service at any time without losing any charts or settings. Once you are familiar with our service, you can buy a longer-term renewal and save more money. If you are new to charting we strongly suggest that you also subscribe to the Market Message.
