Do I have to sign a long term contract?

No. StockCharts accounts are typically billed on a month-by-month basis. If you cancel, you will be billed for the current month but you won't be billed again. Satisfied members have the option of pre-paying for 6 or 12 months of service in exchange for a price discount.

Will I also have to pay exchange fees?

No. The prices you see above include all exchange fees, index fees, data transmission fees, etc.

What types of payment do you accept?

Currently we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. We are only able to accept online payments.

How does the 10-day free trial work?

The first 10 days of service for new members are free. After the 10th day, we will charge your credit card for one month of whichever service you selected. All charges are non-refundable.

Can I change my subscription plan during my 10-day free trial?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade to any plan during the 10-day trial period. At the end of the trial, we will charge your card based on the most recent service plan you selected.

Can I subscribe for more than one month?

What kind of charts can I create? Which stock exchanges do you cover?

We provide high-quality financial charts for US stocks (NYSE, Amex, Nasdaq), US Mutual funds, and Canadian stocks (TSX, Venture). We also provide over 1000 technical market indexes as well as end-of-day charts for most US commodity contracts.

* - What's the difference between "US real-time data" and "Official real-time data"?

The "US real-time data" is provided for free by the BATS exchange and is available for most US stocks. It does not include real-time volume data. "Official real-time data" is provided by the NYSE, Nasdaq and TSX exchanges for an additional fee of $9.95/month (which is included in the price of ExtraRT). Click here for more details

What are the key differences between "Basic" and "Extra"?

An Extra account lets you group your charts into different ChartLists which is great for tracking watch lists, portfolio holdings, sectors, scan results, etc. A Basic account only has all of your saved charts in just one list. Also, an Extra account allows you to create your own custom technical scans.

Which technical indicators does StockCharts have?

What are the "Predefined Scans" that Basic and Free users have access to?

How do I subscribe to just the StockCharts Market Message service by itself?

The Market Message is no longer available as a separate service. We recommend you subscribe to our inexpensive Basic service and enjoy both the Market Message and our charting tools.

Does StockCharts work on an iPhone or iPad?

Our standard website works well on iOS devices however Flash/Java-based features such as PerfCharts and ChartNotes are not available.
