What Happened Today?

Talking Technically:

Every Wednesday, Tom and Erin start the show off with important earnings announcements, economic news and developing news in the major markets. As far as economic reports, GDP numbers were announced. According to Bloomberg, "Third-quarter GDP proved even more solid than the first estimate, revised 3 tenths higher in the second estimate to an as-expected 3.3 percent annualized rate." The big news today was the collapse of technology stocks and the rotation into Financial stocks. Erin reviewed a few of the major stakeholders in the NDX and noted that most, while having a very difficult day, still have some nearby support. Both Tom and Erin agreed that this may not be the stopping place for these stocks.

Special Guest - Julius de Kempenaer: It would be impossible to recap the amazing conversation and charts we had with Julius on today's show. We highly recommend you take a look at the recording via MarketWatchers Facebook page or via our StockCharts YouTube channel. Julius played along with the 10 in 10 today and ran an RRG of the 10 symbols that Tom reviewed. You'll find that RRG chart under the Ten in Ten Before One section below.

Ten in Ten Before One: In this regular segment, Tom reviews ten charts in ten minutes with Erin's comments and comments from the Twitter "peanut gallery" peppered in there. Send in your symbol requests via Twitter (@mktwatcherslive) before the show and we'll try and add them. If we missed them this show, we have many of them in the queue for Monday. Symbols reviewed today: AAL, F, IBM, VZ, GM, GIS, DIS, GPK, XTN and MA. You'll find all of the charts in the MarketWatchers LIVE ChartList, located at the top of the MarketWatchers blog homepage. Julius' RRG charts are below. He compared the daily to the weekly to give us an understanding of the different paths each take in the different timeframe. Click on either of the RRGs below to bring up the charts on your own dashboard.

Looking Forward:

Tune in on Thursday at 12:00p - 1:30p EST on 11/30 for "Anatomy of a Trade" and "Sector Rotation Situation"!
