Small-caps are underperforming large-caps and microcaps are underperforming small-caps. Microcaps are similar to the momentum names in that they represent the high beta end of the stock market. The chart below shows the Russell MicroCap iShares (IWC) breaking below its February low with a 14% decline. The indicator window shows the IWC:IWM ratio falling to its November lows.
