StockCharts 50 Years On Wall Street Featuring Ralph Acampora

January 29th, 2020 (REDMOND, WA) - StockCharts.com has announced the release of its first original documentary production, 50 Years on Wall Street. The short feature, centered on veteran technical analyst Ralph Acampora, CMT, will premiere on StockCharts TV at 12:30pm ET on Wednesday, January 29th.

One of the most widely respected technicians on Wall Street, Mr. Acampora has been recognized as a leading figure in the development of market analytics for decades. Regarded as the "Godfather of Technical Analysis", Mr. Acampora is currently an instructor at the New York Institute of Finance and a Senior Managing Director at Altaira Ltd., where he offers wealth-management services. He is a founding member of the CMT Association and a former director of technical analysis for Prudential Securities. He has previously been featured by many major business networks and news publications, including CNBC, Barron's, Business Insider, Forbes, The Economic Times, MarketWatch and many more.

50 Years on Wall Street details a meeting between Mr. Acampora and David Keller, CMT, Chief Market Strategist at StockCharts.com, at Mr. Acampora's barn in Minnesota. That barn, as previously detailed in a popular story by The Wall Street Journal in 2017, was painted by Mr. Acampora himself to illustrate the history of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. StockCharts' new documentary presents an up-close look at the barn, framed around a conversation between Mr. Acampora and Mr. Keller, and also features a personal discussion between the two centered on Mr. Acampora's many decades as a market analyst.

"Ralph has been a mentor and supporter of so many of us in the financial industry," said Mr. Keller. "It was such a pleasure to hear him reflect on his successful career on Wall Street and it's truly a joy to share a piece of that with our StockCharts TV viewers."

Crafted by StockCharts TV's Creative Director, Gretchen Pitluk, and Graphic Designer, Aaron Seltzer, 50 Years on Wall Street marks a milestone for the studio as its first original documentary production. As a tribute to Mr. Acampora and his lifetime of work, the company is slated to showcase the documentary at upcoming conferences, conventions and other presentations throughout 2020, as well enter the film for awards consideration.

"One of the wonderful qualities about Ralph is his stories," Ms. Pitluk said when discussing the experience of production. "You can hear his passion for technical analysis, history and education when he speaks. My goal as a storyteller was how to best capture this visually and bring it home for our viewers to experience."

50 Years on Wall Street will be available to view on StockCharts TV, where it will debut at 12:30pm ET on January 29th and air in re-runs. The film will also be available on demand at the official StockCharts YouTube channel at YouTube.com/stockchartscom.
