On this edition of StockCharts TV's Sector Spotlight, I take a quick look at the current state of Asset Class rotation through the RRG lens. After that, I move on to Sectors. After a quick assessment of last week's rotation, I bring in BETA again to determine which sectors are likely to be defensive and which ones are more likely to be offensive. I compare that to the classification of offensive and defensive sectors as published by MSCI and find a few anomalies, whichreally stand out when you plot the BETA values on top of an RRG. The message for Offense pulling away then really comes to life. As it is the last Tuesday of the month, the last part of the show is dedicated to seasonality and trying to find alignment (or not) of expected seasonal patterns with current rotations on the RRG. And, for the month of November, a few clear actionable ideas are popping up!
