On this edition of StockCharts TV's Sector Spotlight, I take a good look at the current state of asset class and sector rotation. I talk you through the daily and weekly rotations on the respective Relative Rotation Graphs, highlighting the strength of the USD, the pause in commodities and the continuing preference for stocks over bonds. The discussion on sector rotation starts with a look at recent rotations for the S&P sectors, moving to a weekly perspective breaking down the universe into offensive, defensive and sensitive. I then take that information from the current rotations of these groups on the Relative Rotation Graph and overlay that on the theoretical sector rotation model (Sam Stovall) to position the market on that business cycle.
