Partnering with Alexander Elder

by Chip Anderson

Today I am very pleased to announce that StockCharts.com is partnering with Dr. Alexander Elder to provide you with two new features. Dr. Elder is the author of several very influential books on technical analysis and trading.  We've recommended his work for years in our online bookstore and we use his books as the basis for an internal trading course that we teach to our employees.  His books "Trading for a Living" and "Come Into My Trading Room" are in the must-read category for any serious investor.  You can check out all of his books here. Thank You Dallas!

by Chip Anderson

The article also includes a list of the most popular IE8 add-ons:   This information reinforces my post from yesterday.  Browser add-ons can cause problems Read More

Snapshot Charts Are Going Away

by Chip Anderson

We are removing the "Snapshot Charts" feature of our Extra service.  (If you are asking yourself "What's a Snapshot Chart?" then you can skip the rest of this post.) Snapshot Charts were originally intended to be our "Sharing" service back in the days before Facebook, Blogs and Twitter.  Unfortunately, they never really were implemented or explained correctly and they have received little use as a result.  For example, over the past week, we've served out 539 Snapshot charts, compared to over 45 million live SharpCharts charts. Now that we've released our new Read More

Sharing Charts Just Got a Whole Lot Easier

by Chip Anderson

Today we are rolling out our new "Share" feature that lets you share your charts with other people via services like Facebook, Twitter, Chart.ly, and InvestorsHub along with popular blogging services like Blogger, TypePad and WordPress. To Share a chart, simply click on the "Share" link under any SharpChart - it's currently highlighted in yellow to help you find it.  When you do, you should see the following panel appear:   You can then select the method that you want to use to share your chart.  Note that several of these methods require Read More
